Recovery Blog Earns Awards

Webby Awards LogoIn little more than its first year, 2.0 – launched in September 2009 – was honored and recognized in 2010 by some of most prestigious website awards, including the Webby Awards–an international competition–which have been described as “the Internet’s highest honor.” The National Association of Government Communicators, which dispenses the Blue Pencil & Gold Screen Awards, is a national not-for-profit professional network of federal, state and local government employees who disseminate information within and outside government. And the Addy Awards have been called “the world’s largest advertising competition with over 50,000 entries annually.”

    Wow. As a matter of interest, it would be great to learn what kind of effort it took to achieve this outcome. E.G. What did the workload look like to get nominated for these awards? In any case, well done!

    I’ve noticed that public service websites are often designed and tested over a long period of time, mostly 1-2 years. Was this the case in this instance as it’s very impressive to award after only an initial design.
