Long Beach West Habitat Restoration
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) received $909,000 in Recovery funds to remove 37 unoccupied cottages and help restore nearly 35 acres of beach and dune habitat, at Long Beach West in Stratford, Connecticut. Work first began in early 2010, and paused from March 15 through September 15, 2010 to not disturb the federally protected nesting birds. The demolition of the cottages was completed in April 2011, and habitat restoration is now ongoing.

Very good information
An excellent initiative from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to restore the habitat at Long Beach West of Stratford. In fact, today there should be several such initiatives to save and protect the environment for the well-being of all mankind all over the world.
Good to see government spending money well
I absolutely don’t mind our government dollars going to these sorts of restoration projects. Glad we still dedicate some of our budget to this!
